For the cyclist who wants more traction and control, the K161 features flattened knobby lugs and at 27 x 1 3/8, the widest tire size available for older road bikes circa 1970s-80s. An excellent choice if you're putting your bike back on the road or converting to a FIXIE single speed. Classic gumwall style with black center and tan sides. Made by Kenda for SunLite. Comes in a BikemanforU Combo with 2 Tires, 2 Tubes, and 2 Rubber Rimstrips to protect your new tubes from spoke nipples.

I bought this combo for a Japanese vintage bicycle that I have to ride around town every once in a while. These tires add a great vintage effect due to their gumwall and have the great characteristic of having amazing grip with that chunky thread. The rim strips and the tubes are very nice quality, they seem quite durable. I'm very pleased with the purchase, specially because it was so hard to find tires to suit my old bike, until I found these.

First day out with these tires was just this weekend (03/09/14, when a group of us hit completed about a 30 round trip. The tires look great on my old Univega Mixte. They are very comfortable over ruts, bumps and general road imperfections. Also, no significant slowing down due to the knobby tread.
